In Traffic Court Scandal, Why No Outrage From Leaders?

, The Legal Intelligencer

Scuttlebutt, hearsay and innuendo have long suggested that Philadelphia Traffic Court might not be the model of blind justice, but the scope and extent of judicial improprieties that are detailed in the report conducted by Chadwick Associates, commissioned by the state Supreme Court, is mind-boggling, even to jaded Philadelphians.

Excellent article. Sounds like another "Operation Greylord" scandal in Chicago years ago that exposed corrupt lawyers and judges. Many were disbarred, some imprisoned.

I believe that court proceedings in traffic court, MC and CP should be video and audio-taped. The public would be outraged to know what truly goes on in these rooms. Stenography does not capture the essence of the inappropriateness I have bore witness to. And even then, judges have been known to have them strike certain parts of the record. You all remember the "vile" incident. Shameful!
