Law firm: US lawyer dies from shooting wounds

The Associated Press

PHOENIX (AP) - A lawyer wounded in this week's shooting at a U.S. office building has died.

Mark Hummels had been on life support at a Phoenix hospital after Wednesday's shooting that killed a company's CEO.

His law firm's publicist, Athia Hardt, says Hummels died Thursday night.

Police say the gunman, 70-year-old Arthur Douglas Harmon, was found dead early Thursday from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

They say Harmon opened fire at the end of a mediation session over a lawsuit.

A woman also was shot, but her injuries were not life-threatening.
