Tom Kline knows better than I do, but whatever device was used to give Penn State an advantage in its coverage dispute with its insurers seems to run contrary to the public policy which forbids allowing insurance proceeds to cover criminal activity. Maybe everyone just "agreed" that it was simple negligence when the facts proved much more? Can someone explain this?

victim 5 changed his story. He told the grand jury that he was abused once in the '96 to '98 time frame when he was 9 or 10 years old but by the time of the trial he was claiming he was abused once in Aug 2001 when he was 13 years old. He also changed the location of the incident from the East Area locker room to the Lasch Building. His testimony was much more characteristic of the reaction of a ten year as opposed to that of a 13 tear old to Sandusky's activities. Why would he change his story? To create a direct causal link between the 2001 incident and his own? Also, he was not sexually abused by Sandusky. The charge of indecent assault against victim 5 was one of only three acquittals for Sandusky on 45 counts. With regard to vic 5, Sandusky was found guilty of Unlawful Contact with Minors, Corruption of Minors, and Endangering Welfare of Children, essentially grooming-like behaviors, and that was for one single incident. Vic 5 did not even claim to have been continually abused, only one single incident, one that almost certainly occurred before anyone at PSU had any knowledge of Sandusky's activities. And for that vic 5 gets a multi-million dollar settlement from PSU? And as part of the deal, he's not allowed to even sniff at the Second Mile? Does no one here smell a rat?
