The state Senate unanimously confirmed the nomination of state Superior Court President Judge Correale F. Stevens to fill the vacancy left on the state Supreme Court by former Justice Joan Orie Melvin, bringing the high court back up to a full complement after being shorthanded for more than a year.

What's being said


    very interesting, as a non-lawyer I believe the general public has no idea of what appellate courts let alone the Supreme ct does and how they do it. I applaud Justice Stevens and wish him well as he undertakes his new responsibilities on behalf of the citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
